You open your eyes. More accurately, you now have eyes. That's what you are told these black circle things are. You don't really know what is happening around you, but you get some information from your surroundings. You are a teddy bear. Creatures named humans are taking you somewhere. Before you know it, you are on a shelf, with a price stuck to you and you can't really do anything, just observe. What is this place, what are these humans and what is your place in all this? After doing nothing for some time, you do not exactly know how much, because time is not something you understand in the least, a human decides to take you off the shelf and hand you over to another one. This particular one seems happy while looking at you. At least that's what you think happy looks like. Observing people all day made you come to that conclusion. Apparently, this one is going to be your new "owner". Humans are curious creatures, really. After they took you to another place, they left you there. They occasionally come and take you in their arms and throw you, move you from hand to hand and speak to you, answering by themselves after and putting words in your mouth. You don't even speak. What is this? What is the reason they keep doing this? Another weird thing is that they change appearances. They become longer and even broader or thinner sometimes. The fur on their head also becomes longer or shorter. Sometimes it changes color also. Furthermore, they have this "expressions" that keep changing. The things they say also seem to change. After some time, "toys" and "food" became "boys" and "mood". It must be some kind of game or something. Once, a little bit of material on your body got ripped. Your "owner" started fretting around, calling for the other human that you keep seeing around. When this one came, she took a "needle" and some "thread" and put it in your body, moving her hands with it. After a bit, the material was back to normal. Mysterious event. The "owner" seemed very happy for some reason. One day, your surroundings suddenly changed. You were thrown in a dark place by the other human. She said something about adults and toys, but the meaning of those words were unknown to you. She closed the door. After some time, you could hear voices, loud voices. They disappeared after a while. Only faint voices could be heard from time to time. Voices. Many voices. What is this? The door to the place you were in opened suddenly and a human took you out along with many other things. After putting you through a rotating thing that kept raising you and then letting you fall while being surrounded by a white thing, then by water, because you needed to be clean, they took you to a place where a human, a very small one, was staying. The one that put you in this place was your "owner". She looked different, but it was definitely her. You could tell by the way she was holding you and the feeling of her hands. "This is your new owner" she said while pointing to the kid. This was unexpected. A new "owner"? You didn't even imagine you could have another owner besides the original one. This one doesn't seem as happy. A new creature appeared not long ago. It seems this creature is named dog, even though sometimes it is called by other names. The new small "owner" seems to like this creature. It seems happy with it. On the other hand, it doesn't really pay as much attention to you as the original one did. The dog approaches you. It looks at you for a while then it takes you in his mouth and starts tearing all your material apart. The new "owner" seems entertained by this. Soon enough, your real owner comes into the room and takes the dog off you. She seems really sad. It's a rare expression. She takes you into her arms. Different from usual, she's trembling. You always wondered how you, a teddy bear, could make a human have these expressions. You thought that only humans could do that. You didn't even do anything. You just were there. A thread that barely held on until now finally gave up, half of your body falling to the ground. You felt it: this is the end. It's a shame. You just started to like this human.
